Bring data from your current HR system
Move employees, balances and payroll history from Keka, greytHR, Zoho People or spreadsheets.
The migration wizard reads from your current system or the reports you export from it. Nothing in your old system changes, and nothing is imported until you review and approve it.
- Go to Admin → Data imports & migration and choose Bring data from your current HR system.
- Source: pick Keka, greytHR, Zoho People, or Excel / CSV or other.
- Data: connect securely where available, or upload your exported reports. Choose your cutover date — HRPortal becomes the source of truth from this date.
- Mapping: check how each column maps to an HRPortal field, set the date format, and map values such as departments, locations and leave types.
- Review: resolve conflicts and duplicates, and check the plan.
- Import, then Finish: confirm the totals and reconcile.
Files are read in your browser; macros and formulas are never run. Mapping suggestions use column names, formats and sample patterns in your browser — no employee data is sent to an AI service.
Approved mappings are reused the next time you import the same report.
